FULLY UNDERSTANDING PETIT BAUME RELAX' FORMULA:
Butyrospermum parkii butter (shea butter): recommended for its protective properties against skin dehydration. Readily and durably absorbed by the skin.
Sesamum indicum seed oil (sesame seed oil): sesame seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids. Known for its softening and skin-rejuvenating properties, it penetrates quickly without being greasy.
Helianthus annuus seed oil (sunflower seed oil): sunflower seed oil is a light-weight oil that is extremely rich in Vitamin E. This oil is known for its moisture retention and skin softening capabilities. It doesn’t leave behind an oily residue and it also helps in forming a natural barrier on the outermost layer of the skin in order to protect it from damage. The presence of antioxidants like Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E in sunflower seed oil makes it an excellent anti-aging ingredient because it manages to protect the skin from free radical damage as well as sun damage.
Citrus aurantium dulcis peel oil expressed (orange essential oil): orange essential oil is astringent, i.e. tightens pores to improve skin texture. It is also known to help the epidermis better withstand external aggressions and signs of ageing. Its vitamin C is known for activating microcirculation and toning the complexion, and for soothing dry, irritated skin as well as acne-prone skin.
Origanum majorana herb oil (sweet marjoram essential oil): this herb used in cosmetics since Ancient Greece is a natural antiseptic, and can also help to soothe the skin. It is also rich in antioxidants which fight free-radical damage.
Citrus aurantifolia oil (lime essential oil): lime essential oil boosts circulation and helps to clear congested skin. It helps boost circulation and with its astringent and toning action on the skin, helps to encourage a clear, healthy looking skin, and relieves any skin congestion.
Alcohol: we usually do not use alcohol in our formulas as it dries the skin, however there is a small quantity coming from the hydro alcoholic preparations used as ingredient.
Rosmarinus officinalis leaf extract (rosemary extract): rich in volatile oils, flavonoids and phenolic acids that are antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, rosemary essential oil helps to cleanse and soothe skin. It has excellent toning and binding effects, while at the same time increasing blood flow with its rubefacient action, which in turn promotes proper skin function. It helps to relieve skin congestion, resulting in firmer skin and better skin tone. It promotes a healthy-looking complexion.
Styrax tonkinensis resin extract (benzoin resin extract): styrax benzoin is a species of evergreen tree. Its main benefits include its antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and astringent properties, as well as protecting the skin by forming an invisible film that prevents moisture loss, improving skin’s elasticity and smoothing it.
Benzyl benzoate: benzyl benzoate is a naturally occurring component of essential oils, such as jasmine, ylang-ylang, rosewood and benzoin oils. It is also known to improve the scent of cosmetic products.
Citral: used as a masking agent, citral is a major constituent of citronella oil and other plants of the Cymbopogon family. It is also present in the essential oils of verbena, orange, lemon, etc.
Geraniol: a fragrant oil component, geraniol is a natural compound of the essential oils of rose and palmarosa. Also present in essential oils of geranium, lemon and citronella.
Limonene: a fragrant oil component, limonene is naturally present in numerous essential oils (citrus rinds), pine oil and mint oil.
Linalool: an aromatic compound present in its natural state in the essential oils of lavender and lavandin, scots pine or peppermint, as well as many plant extracts.
