  • Butyrospermum parkii butter (shea butter)

    Recommended for its protective properties against skin dehydration. Readily and durably absorbed by the skin

  • Cocos nucifera oil (coconut oil)

    Coconut oil is obtained by expression from the dried inner flesh of the coconut, Cocos nucifera. Coconut oil is high in protective antioxidants and antibacterial fatty acids. It suits all skin types and is light, non-greasy and rapidly absorbed giving deep hydration and conditioning to skin, scalp and hair. Research shows it can improve skin elasticity helping prevent premature ageing and wrinkle formation.

  • Borago officinalis seed oil (borage oil)

    Naturally rich in vitamins A and E, and Omegas 3 and 5, borage is recommended for dry skin, itching, and skin disorders with inflammation, due to the high proportion of gamma-linolenic acid, as a gamma linolenic acid deficiency can result in itching and dry skin. It has a positive effect on the barrier function of the epidermis. It improves skin appearance, primarily if skin is dry and scaly.

  • Cera alba (beeswax)

    The only non-vegan (although organic) ingredient of C/1's formula, it is known for its skin-protective and moisturizing properties, especially due to its high vitamin A content. It protects the skin against agressions such as wind and cold, and has anti-inflammatory properties.

  • Sesamum indicum seed oil (sesame seed oil)

    Sesame seed oil is rich in essential fatty acids. Known for its softening and skin-rejuvenating properties, it penetrates quickly without being greasy.

  • Astragalus gummifer gum (tragacanth gum)

    Tragacanth gum helps naturally to keep the emulsion nature of our formula from separating into its oil and liquid components.

  • Ricinus communis seed oil (castor bean oil)

    Castor bean oil is a vegetable oil known to be effective at healing inflamed skin, reducing acne, fading blemishes and stretch marks, preventing stretch marks and pigmentation, moisturizing skin fighting the different visible signs of ageing. It also helps creams maintain a smooth consistency in a variety of climate conditions.

  • Simmondsia chinensis seed oil (jojoba oil)

    Deeply penetrating, jojoba oil has a dry texture that rebalances the flow of sebum and prevents dehydration of the skin. Due to is soothing and healing properties, it is perfect for sensitive skin. It also helps your skin fight external aggressions especially cold and wind.

  • Benzyl alcohol

    Antimicrobial preservative and solvent. One of the few preservatives allowed in organic products. It is naturally present in apricots, almonds, apples, asparagus, etc.

  • Thymus mastichina flower oil (marjoram essential oil)

    Marjoram essential oil has antimicrobial, antifungal, antiseptic and disinfectant properties that make it an effective oil in healing wounds, invasion of microbes causing skin infections and acne. Recent studies have established the high concentration of linalool component in marjoram oil, which justifies these properties.

  • Lactic acid

    Additive (of plant origin in our case) used as a buffer agent to adjust the pH of the formula to resemble that of the skin.

  • Olea europaea fruit oil (olive oil)

    Olive oil is very rich in fatty acids and antioxydants. Known for its virtues of hydrating and restoring the skin's hydrolipidic film, elasticity and suppleness.

  • Potassium hydroxide

    Caustic potash is used as a buffer agent to adjust the pH of the formula to resemble that of the skin.

  • Sodium chloride

    Table salt is used as a blooming agent of our emulsions.

  • Dehydroacetic acid

    Used as an antimicrobial and fungicide preservative.

  • Geraniol

    A fragrant oil component, geraniol is a natural compound of the essential oils of rose and palmarosa. Also present in essential oils of geranium, lemon and citronella.

  • Limonene

    A fragrant oil component, limonene is naturally present in numerous essential oils (citrus rinds), pine oil and mint oil.

  • Linalool

    An aromatic compound present in its natural state in the essential oils of lavender and lavandin, scots pine or peppermint, as well as many plant extracts.
